How this websites work?
Kuroiru crawls the internet for various information and data related to each anime/manga, then combines them in one interface. In other words, we are a data aggregator. We also enable users to contribute references and additional information.

Kuroiru is hobby project that makes no money. We do not display ads, accept donations, or generate any revenue of any kind.
Kuroiru main goal?
To help people easily consume anime/manga by providing resources for finding where to watch, tracking progress, discovering new series, serving as information hub, etc.
How this websites funded?
The cost of running the websites are very low, they basically just database. Everything is hosted on single cheap VPS. There is no need to collect funding.
How is Kuroiru related to EverythingMoe?
Kuroiru is like a branch of EverythingMoe. We share similar purpose, which is to help people easily consume anime and manga-related media. But aside from that, we are completely different and separate websites.
Tech stack?
Full vanilla, no dependency / library whatsoever. Also, no cloud platform dependency. Our server can run anywhere as long as it runs Linux.
Data security?
We automatically back up our database periodically in case any failures. Also, you can export your anime & manga list yourself at any time you want. The export is already formatted to allow easy transfer to other tracker sites.
