There is a similarity in the type of comedy as well as the type of lead character. Both leads are powerful characters who desires a simple life.

-Both main characters, Gintoki and Saiki, love eating sweets and reading Shounen manga. They're also strong (though Saiki's power is incomparable). -Both shows have great comedy. -Both referenced each other at some point.

Both shows have similar fast-paced comedy combined with exaggerated facial expressions and loud atmosphere's. Both shows also break the fourth wall from time to time, as well as having pieces of more serious moments in between

Very powerful and cool protagonists with a knack for sweets that just try to live their everyday lives. Many stupid jokes that are funny because they're repetitive. Single and multi-episode arcs.

They both have similar comedy. If you're interested in a long show that's similar to Saiki then Gintama is for you. It also can get dark and serious with some of my favourite arcs in anime coming out of those dark arcs. Also it has a less simplistic art-style then Saiki.

The protagonists have a lot in common: both are lazy but powerful, compelling, have a sweet tooth, and are absolute sadists (who doesn't love sadists :D). The characters are all unique and lovable and their traits are what make the silly gags/jokes so great and hilarious. The humor is pretty alike (though Gintama has more, well, "unsuitable for children" jokes) and will for sure make you cry with laughter at times :) If you liked the humor in Gintama, you'll most probably like Saiki Kusuo.

It has the same type of stupid humor. Both have nice feels, but I definitely feel Gintama was way better than Saiki though.

Essentially, Saiki K's comedy is executed almost exactly like Gintama. Both series break the 4th wall and make funny references based off of Japanese pop culture. This series also draws a unique cast of characters which make them really enjoyable to watch.

They're both gag anime with a similar style of humor and have a large cast of characters that are all unique and amusing in their own way. Both also contain parodies of certain tropes and reference other anime

The tipe of humor and heavy enfasis on character interactions and quick jokes are some what similar and really good in both

Gintama is a gag anime much like Saiki K.

Doesn't have a serious plot but has a really good comedy stuff, I think they're similar but Gintama just has a bit if seriousness into it but I think you will enjoy this show even tho they don't have a good storyline.

It pretty much has the same type of humor as Gintama. I mean like, they literally made a Gintama parody episode.

If you like your absurd comedy shounen jump anime like Gintama, Saiki Kusuo definitely hits that same exact spot. What can I say they are just really damn fun to watch. Also while you are at it (and haven´t read /or seen it yet) Sket Dance is another great recommendation!

I mean the comedy is nearly identical, although Gintama also spends much more of it's time on dirty jokes. If you love witty dialogue and dry humor, this is for you.

Saiki k and gintama are two cult comedies that shine with their unique and very hilarous (gag) humour. The characters are very funny too (Saiki’s classmates or Gintama’s Yorozuya crew). Both shows feature many standalone episodes that are easy to enjoy without much context. Both series made me cry with laughter.

Both shows have really funny cast and thier humour is really funny and over the top , while the main mc may be different in personality the funny scenarios and cast make up for it also there's an special Easter egg In S2 If I remember correctly , watch out for it
