In both series the protagonists get a chance at changing certain events of their past. While one struggles to save certain people of his past, the other struggles to save himself.
Protagonist has some sort of (supernatural) power that can make him changes future. Then he use that power to prevent someone and the protagonist himself from being murdered.
Events of the past that heavily plays key roles in the story of the present. It should come to no surprise that both series does a lot of story-building with interconnected events. In fact, there is even the concept of time travel involved. Both series' main male protagonist uses their talent to prevents ominous events from the future; although with very different circumstances. Throughout both series, they face obstacles and experiences that they find difficulty to tackle with once again.
Both protagonists relive their pasts to prevent tragic futures.
Ore ga Doutei and Erased both hinge on that classic “sent back in time for no reason” premise. Same old plot beats: prevent disaster, save a girl, tinker with the future, defy destiny. The similarities are obvious, but if you like a time travel story sprinkled with melodrama and tension, these two deliver it without much subtlety.
These two manga have essentially the same premise. A guy finds himself in a terrible situation and ends up transported back to the past, where he relives his school days (high school in Ore ga Doutei wo Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite's case, elementary school in Erased's case). Both manga feature a slight romantic subplot, although (unexpectedly) OreDoutei focuses much more on the romance, with it even having a role in the main plot. The main difference between the two is that OreDoutei is slightly more ecchi-based (while remaining serious), while Erased is more mystery-based.
